Stage V is an emission standard for non-road mobile machinery (NRMM). It’s a development of previous standards and requires controls, such as diesel particulate filters, to be applied to new machinery.
Stage V engines limit carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons, whilst also reducing the mass of particulate matter (diesel soot) emitted into the atmosphere.
