Junior Fuel Controller – Halesowen, West Mids

We are currently looking for a Junior Fuel Controller to join our fuel desk in Halesowen.

In this new role for the business, you will be the first point of contact for our varied customer base and will support the Fuel Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.

The role will be office based and comes with a competitive salary, 25 days paid annual leave plus Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities include (but are not restricted to) the following:

  • Overseeing a fully managed fuel service for our generator clients
  • Providing all clients with the same excellent levels of customer service throughout the fuel management process
  • Dealing with enquiries and requests via phone and email
  • Ensure fuel delivery schedules are fully administered and maintained
  • Monitoring our telemetry systems to optimise delivery efficiency and anticipate forthcoming demand
  • Processing fuel deliveries using rental software package MCSrm
  • Arranging fuel deliveries with third-party suppliers, creating and updating purchase orders
  • Organising efficient daily logistics for tanker deliveries
  • Process fuel contracts with attention to detail in preparation for invoicing
  • Work closely with a team of colleagues to ensure all customer requests and orders are delivered to a high standard

We are looking for an organised individual who;

  • Has the ability to prioritise a variety of matters, as and when they arise, and deal with them in a professional and timely manner
  • Can demonstrate high levels of both oral and written communication skills to forge strong internal and external relationships, across all levels of the business
  • Has the capacity to work autonomously and to prioritise their workload to meet strict deadlines
  • Is able to thrive when both working as part of a team and as an individual
  • Has good business and commercial awareness, applying attention to detail in every aspect of their work
  • Experience of routing service or delivery vehicles would be advantageous but not a requirement, training will be provided.
